Practical details

Tournament venue

If you are coming from the LEC at Flanders Expo, you can take tram 1, which will get you to the Sint-Pieters train station in about 10 minutes. Outpost Gent is a good 15min. walk away from the train station. You can also take a bus (34/35/36, or 70-78) to “Heuvelpoort”, in order to cut your walk down to just 150m (2min.).

If you come by car, we recommend parking in the Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat, which is free on Sundays.

Drinks and food are available at the venue, including a fine selection of Belgian beers. While we don’t mind that you bring your own snacks, please refrain from bringing beverages of your own. Support the store instead!

Registration

You can register beforehand by completing the Pre-registration form.

This helps us plan ahead for the expected number of players. There is no event cap, we should have plenty of room to accomodate all attending players. Please come at least half an hour early to account for registration!

Proxy Guidelines

Because Legacy has gotten prohibitively expensive over the past few years, we’ve decided to allow the use of proxies for this event. Any number of proxies can be used, as long as you follow these simple rules:

  • The cards should be clearly recognizable for your opponent.
  • The cards should be indistinguishable from the realcards in your deck.

To give some examples:

  • A random card with another card name on it is not enough – too confusing.
  • You can use a similar card (same color/CMC) and “alter” it to represent the desired card. Make sure there is no doubt on which card you are representing.
  • You can use the blank MDFC cards that come with some sets, if only a small ,number of proxies are needed. In this case, please write the name, manacost and key abilities on the card, and sleeve it like the other cards in your deck.
  • You can also print out proxy slips and sleeve ’em with random cards. In this case, however, please be extra careful not to end up with marked cards. When in doubt, it is sometimes better to proxy the entire deck, rather than have a handful of marked proxies mixed in with real cards.

When creating your own proxies, similar rules apply as with card alterations. Most notably, the card’s thickness and feel must match normal cards, and the card should not have any imagery that does not belong in a PG13 rated card game (e.g. no explicit nudity).

It is your resposibility to make sure your deck is legal and does not contain any marked cards. When in doubt, please consult the head judge before the start of the event.
